Incident 1:
When few ppl doin product support in my previous company, us SA team are to rope in on resolving problems on system. With that new guy being the front-end for the solutions, he will be responsible to get back to Customers. Us being SA will have to monitor the issue and hlp to investigate prob after analysis, and interact with testers and developers.
So there is this case, which Customer called A up for the current bug reported. Knowing nuts about the system, he decided to be a smart alec to email the QA abt the progress. Being arrogant by nature, the email was a basic holler that is basically very rude and only display his incompetent on the system. He emailed the QA in order to spd things up. QA did promptly replied on the task progress and since it was a new task, not much was being done. He den shot the QA back by saying how simple the task is and it should be rectify very effectively. He was also lamenting how the Customer was scolding him on that and pressurized by it. He then wanted to direct the QA to reply with progress to Customer directly.
As this task was being handed over by my senior and hence i became the SA responsible for this case. I couldnt swallow dwn how nasty he was, hence i shot him back on how QA is currently still testing on the error and will need more time to get back on the issue and without proper testing, it cant be passed out unless he is willing to bear any further responsibility of another bug that can be discovered later. And I also reminded him that with tht lil amt of QA resources available, there are also other current testing operations that is to be taken at the same time, QA might not be available for any Customer interaction. I also stated that it is his job to handle any direct Customer communication, so if possible once anything is being confirmed, updates will be given to Customer via him.
As mentioned by earlier on that task was passed dwn from senior to me, so it was aso CC to senior. There she was chuckling abt how i handled him and keep him under wraps. « hide Incident 1

Incident 2 :
Company lunch hr is ard 1pm, hence most of us will eat together as a group. So ended up, me and my
colleague (S) , another guy (D} , A and C [both of them the same intake batch]. Well within the grp, we can all tell A likes C [now now pls be clear C is a GAL !], which he always likes to impress C with his discussion and stuffs. And C being juz okie with the grp, no1 seems to be tokkin to A except her. So while enjoxing the lunch, D & I couldnt tolerate the awkwardness, we den started to initiate conversation among the grp. D was there wondering any1 of us within the grp play games. Being responsive, I den tok abt how i am anticipating Wii to the sg market and stating that the Wii being out overseas, but not in SG [due to IDA slow approval process ]. And I relate experiences of my fren who possess the Wii, [ that fren in mind is Richie] said the games were great, for there is interaction within the game control and gameplay. Den how Richie complained that his wrist hurts due to the games controller after playing Zelda. So I was then lamenting how SG only have imported set which cost like 800++ and while overseas are selling like 300++ [ sgd 400++ ]. So every1 was there discussing abt how it seems interesting, and D aso share abt his knowledge on games. Whereas A had nothing to contribute within the topic.
Coz after the "games" topic was done and D was conversing about other topics on weekend plans. Being like out of the grp, he continued his posse to impress C, but it came out sooo wrong that he tried to make himself more intellectual and of how superior he is. I dunnoe wht is wrong with A or something, but in a way I really tink he has issues. The 1st sentence he blurted out to C was "外国的月亮真的比较圆吗? ". And every1 within the table kept silent based on that question. It seems that A was challenging me on how he tinks I am boastful enuff to share my overseas experiences. I was shocked by what he said, for who is he to say such statement. Further more, he has no position to say such for he is not an local as well. He is also part of the Malaysian crowd who is in Singapore working.
[Disclaimer : I am not saying that I hve country-ist nor do i look dwn on non-locals who is workin in Singapore. You have ur freedom and so do we, you done your part to hlp Singapore thrive too. So I am of all respect for every1 who does her/his job well ....].
C being embarrassed by that statement [C is a malaysian as well and i do enjox her company too. SO drop your idea on mi being a countrist - in case u dunnoe abt what tht word, i invent it myself. See racist aka discrimination within races, so countrist is discrimination within countries. :p], dunnoe how to response to that statement. But luckily i kept my calm and rebuked back "那，你在这里概什么？". You may call mi childish or revengeful. But hey I can be nice too but once u step on my tail, i do stung back HARD. You guys should SOOOO see his face turned sooooo black after i said that out. He has nothing to comment on that question and seething with anger that throughout the conversation he kept his mouth shut. Well every1 response was amused by how childish and ignorance tht ques was that, we were there bemused and hiding their grin. « hide Incident 2
