When the law is breached, no matter wht the reason is, you hve committed a crime. There is no denying of it nor comes the rationale of doing so. Tht is why Van Tuong Nguyen admitted the second pack of heroin he had in his lugggage. For he knw there is no escaping for the law is breached and he is being discovered. And with a law is being breached, punishments comes in place. Juz like karma within a cycle. Every decision comes with consequences, some might be mild some might be too hard to handle. And for Van Tuong Nguyen case, it has costs his life. Singapore's government is not wrong on goin ahead with the punishment, for the legal decree has stated ages ago. Death sentences should fall on those who deal with drugs. That's final. If the government is to granted Van Tuong Nguyen's appeal, knowing he has breached the limit for 2500 times of wht is allowed. Then wht makes our legal system valid ?

Yes i get where Van Tuong Nguyen's reason on him trafficking the drugs, and yes desperate men comes with desperate ways. Trust mi i been there. But the main thing is 'dun get caught'. ( though i din traffickin drugs nor do some illegal but u get my pt ) and Van Tuong Nguyen DID get caught, which makes it unavoidable. True his forecoming is honourable and the reason for his action is of a higher good for his family. But for him to save his brother who had troubles with drugs and attempting to solve the problemd with drugs, is way wrong. For he knw how drugs ruined ppl, for he knw how drugs had ruined his bro's life. And yet he attempted to solve the problem with drugs. Tht is super ironic. Think about if he would be successful on bringing the drugs back to Melbourne, how many lifes will be ruined on tht trip ? And what about the chances of him doing the same thing if he were successful the 1st time ?

We might be a small country, but we have our beliefs, values and our law system. We are famous for our fines, on littering and etc. We are famous for our campagins, courtesy and etc. For we believe it is for the better good for our country. Dun juz shift the blame on it being too rigid. For without it being too strict, havoc and chaos would surely follows. « hide the crap
